In another bowl combine flour, baking powder and salt (also can use 1 1/2 cup of self rising flour minus salt and baking powder). First add 1/3 of the flour mixture to cream mixture and combine well. Add 1/2 of milk to cream mixture, combine well. Add 1/2 of the remaining flour and combine well. Add remaining 1/2 of milk combine well. Add remaining of flour mixture, combine well. Pour half of melted butter/margarine into peach mixture and mix. Pour batter into heated pan and spread evenly. Using a Ladle/Scoop add peach mixture over cake batter. (There will seem to be a lot of juice but add all over batter). Bake approximately 45 minutes or until top of cake has browned, then set out to cool.
